How should I prepare for my first visit?

Bring any previous X-rays, MRIs and reports, and a list of your medications. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area to be examined.

Are imaging tests done at the clinic?

You are referred to partner imaging centres for the tests needed; the results are reviewed together at a follow-up appointment.

Is a surgery decision made at the first visit?

In most cases, no. After tests are completed, options are discussed with their benefits and limits, and the decision is made together with you.

Are online consultations available?

Online sessions can be arranged to review results or for follow-ups. The first assessment requiring a physical examination is done in person.

Can I book for my child's orthopaedic concerns?

Assessment is possible for topics such as walking pattern or flat feet. If needed, a referral is made to a paediatric orthopaedic specialist.

Is physiotherapy available at the clinic?

Rehabilitation programmes planned by the doctor can be carried out with our physiotherapist; in some cases a home programme and check-in sessions are combined.

Knee Osteoarthritis Assessment

Treatment page
Is surgery necessary for osteoarthritis?

No. For many people, non-surgical methods such as exercise, weight management and physiotherapy are considered first. Surgery may be discussed based on complaints and examination findings.

Can I keep walking?

Walking at a suitable pace is often recommended, but distance and surface should be planned with your doctor.

Should I bring my previous X-rays?

Yes, earlier images and reports help to follow changes over time.

Meniscus Tear Follow-up

Treatment page
My MRI shows a tear. Do I need surgery?

It depends on the type of tear and your complaints. Especially in wear-related tears, physiotherapy may be considered first.

What is arthroscopy?

A surgical method performed through small incisions with a camera inside the joint. Whether it suits you is assessed after examination.

When can I return to sport?

Timing depends on the treatment, the type of tear and your muscle strength.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury

Treatment page
Does the ligament heal by itself?

A complete ACL tear is not expected to return to its original state, but some people use the knee comfortably with muscle strengthening.

Should surgery be done right away?

In most cases swelling should settle and motion return first. Timing is decided after examination.

How long does rehabilitation take?

It varies from person to person; goals are set step by step and updated at check-ups.

Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

Treatment page
Could my shoulder pain come from my neck?

Yes, neck-related pain can be felt in the shoulder. This distinction is made during the examination.

Is an injection always needed?

No. For many people exercise and activity changes come first; injections may be discussed depending on findings.

Can I do the exercises at home?

Most can be done at home. Working with a physiotherapist in the first sessions may be suggested to learn the right technique.
